That's right folks! The Four Hammers Inn will be hosting a special surprise birthday party for Telgar's weyrwoman Daria, starting today at noon and going until just before supper time, or perhaps later. It is being organized by journeywoman weaver Sakura, the weyrwoman's mother, and it has been announced that anyone willing to find their way to the inn, is invited. So, come out to the inn and enjoy the festivities!

A Happy Ending?
Well, readers, we have a special treat for you this week. One of our reporters got the chance to go to Telgar Weyr and speak with Weyrleader R'alras and potential candidate Derrick about what has happened. Sadly, we could not speak to the weyrwoman due to her being otherwise occupied. We have learned quite a bit about things and managed to learn that the weyrwoman is incredibly lucky with her mate. Weyrleader R'alras told us, "Everyone has a past...Having a son doesn't affect my attention to her. We never had discussed our future plans and children never was really a discussion we had. So I guess I'm fine with it. Derrick's a good kid. I just regret that she wasn't part of his life more," when we asked him about his opinion to Weyrwoman Daria having an 18 turn old son and not telling him about the boy. There have been some questions from others at the news paper that wonder if the Weyrleader says these things because of the public form that this news paper presents, but it is clear that they are a tight nit group. We also managed to learn from Derrick that his transfer from hold to weyr was spurred by a desire to see his mother, despite some rather odd ramblings that he has heard through the turns.
