Silvara was in her Weyr her hands wrapped around a cup of tea which she was sipping slowly. The headache from earlier starting to fade. She really needed to work on her shielding while around H'lee as it never seemed to fail that while she was in his area she ended up with a pounding head. Then again he also seemed to have a hard time keeping a level head so really she was doomed it seemed. She again questioned if her being here was the best choice but knew that it was. If she was to teach those who's Gifts were awakening she needed to be where they were to be found.

It just sucked that she found herself once again surrounded by throngs of untrained young-lings and then to add to her problems Val was here. The woman she had a crush on since Benden. She was just glad that said individual did not seem to be aware of her feelings. Unaware that A'dam had told Val point black and challenged her to find out for herself if what he had said was true. No for now she was unaware of that fact.

Now she has a Weyrling who was pregnant a Weyrlilng Master who had the emotional stability of a landslide and students to teach in the way of controlling and mastering their awakening gifts. The only up side was so far non had awakened as young as she had which was a relief.

Leaning back in her chair still sipping at her tea she blinked as her little kitten Cali leaped into her lap for a snuggle. A soft smile fluttering across her lips as she let one hand drop down to lightly pet her kitten. She was glad that she had gotten this little one even if she had to move her all over the place at first. It was nice that her life had settled down a little in that regard no longer having to fly between the academy, snowy, and aurora anywhere near as much now. That and her friend Alina lived here so they could maybe finally get some catching up done.

Several slow deep breaths latter, the rest of her first cup of tea and the start of a second and her head no longer hurt as much and she could just relax looking out the Weyr towards the sky letting her thoughts drift.

Warrelith meanwhile was lounging outside sunning and feeling rather glad that his rider was relaxing. He just hoped that Val wound realize what a wonderful person Silv was and treat her right. As he was the one who had ratted her out to A'dam and helped push towards Val learning about Silvara's feelings. Not that he would tell her that.

Having dealt with both H'lee and K'then Alina was looking forward to some time alone with her old friend Silv. They had much to catch up on and could commiserate about the boys over a cup of tea. Not knowing where Silv might be at this time Alina calls for lemmy her bronze firelizard who promptly appears in front of her. Sighing in relief at lemmy' quick appearance Alina asks the little bronze to find Sliv and see if she was up for some company. sending him off she decides to head to the lower caverns and grab them both some food and wine for after the events of the day they both could use some.

When the little bronze Firelizard popped into sight in Silv's chambers Silvara could not help but smile holding her arm out to him.

"So Alina sent you to find me. Well Show her that I am here in my chambers and I would not mind a visit."

She knew the little Flitt could understand her as her empathy let her see much of what they saw. She kept that to herself for the most part. Soon the little Firelizard was off and gone back to it's mistress to show her the way to her friend.

Alina had just finished packing up the meal and wine she planned on taking with her to Silv's assuming correctly that she would want company tonight. When Lemmy came winging in to land on her shoulder confirming her assumption and sending a picture of Silv in her weyr. Picking up the carry sack of food and wine Alina heads out into the bowl and across to the weyr of her friend stopping on the ledge to say hello to Warrelith. Then moving into the weyr itself calling out to Silv as she enters.

Silv you in here? I brought food and wine and will trade you some for a cup of your calming tea. Lord knows I need it after dealing with those two dim glows that call them selves our weyrling masters. Alina finished with a whoosh as she set her burdens on the table she found Silv sitting at and slid into a chair. Great good god those two are enough to make an angel swear. Speaking of how are you holding up? you seemed to be in a lot of pain out there. I am sorry for not helping any I just got so sharding mad and to be honest I forgot how strong emotions affect you so again my apologies.

Silvara laughed slightly when she heard Alina call for her waiting for her friend to come in and sit with her reaching to the side and pouring another cup of tea to give to her friend.

"I know Alina and it's ok. I just hope you weren't to hard on K'then. He can't help it when it's his kin and truthfully I intend to have him be the lead on Artemis's pregnancy. I have to deal with enough emotional back wash from my other students and I still have to teach her how to control her own gift on top of her pregnancy... it's hard."

She sighed softly rubbing her temple a little before helping Alina pull the food and wine out and set it on the table smiling at the selection. Alina always did have good taste for these little get togethers.

"I have missed our chats. How have things been going for you since moving here? and want to confirm weather or not H'lee has a thing for you?"

She said the last with a smirk on her lips. She had picked up strong vibes of affection from H'lee towards Alina amongst the annoyance.

Pulling out the food she had brought, Alina sighs in relief when Silv accepts her apology for causing her pain. She truly had not meant to she had just been so caught up and forgotten how sensitive Silv was to strong emotions. Grimacing at the questions Silv choose to open their time together with Alina answers her with nothing but the unadorned truth the way they had long ago agreed to always do no matter how unpleasant the subject was.

"K'then got what he deserved. I understand about them being kin and am all for him taking over her pregnancy and protecting her as long as he does it respectfully." Alina snorted still a bit upset with the younger bronze rider. "I have also missed our chats and a lot has happened since I came here. I have so many people to look after here its nice though keeps me busy. As for H'lee having a thing for me well he has not come right out and said so but it is kind of obvious. We do have a daughter together although I am not sure that has ever mattered before now." Alina said with a shrug. "Perhaps he does have a thing for me if so he should tell me I am not opposed to being his mate although he may have trouble with it." Alina laughing finished as she started on a lovely slice of apple and a sharp piece of cheese washing it all down with some of Silv's tea that immediately started to ease her tight muscles allowing her to relax with a small painful groan of soreness into the chair that held her.

Silvara finished her second cup of tea and set it aside reaching out for the wine and pouring herself a glass. The tea took the edge off but so would the wine. She was always careful tho with wine since overdoing it would only make maters far worse. She smiled at her friends words nodded and laughing at her words about H'lee. He was one of those who had a hard time settling down. A flash of Val's face crossed her own mind and she quickly shoved it aside not wanting Alina to pick up on her own unease.

"Well you could just always smack him upside the head till he starts behaving. I am glad that you like it here so much. Always knew you were one of the best Headwoman around and now you get to prove it."

She sipped the wine she had taken her free hand falling into her lap to pet Cali who had curled into a ball and was napping there for the time being. She was very glad she had gotten the little fluff. Her thoughts drifted some over everything that was going on and what he had to deal with. The newly awakened Gifted as well as all the throngs of people here.

Alina smiled at Silv's blatant complement but did not disagree. Downing the last of her tea she pours her self a glass of wine noticing Silv's distant look and just a general feeling of things being off with her good friend.
"Sliv talk to me something is bothering you, I got a flash of it when you were telling me to beat H'lee into submission and now your distant and distracted you know you can always tell me anything. Anything at all. Besides your advice is sound maybe I should clunk H'lee over the head with a rolling pin and move into his weyr while he is out cold on the floor." Alina added that last bit because she knew it would make Silv smile.

Silvara mentaly cursed her friends ability to read her. Slowly she sighed tho she did grin at Alina's words about smacking H'lee with a rolling pin and moving into his Weyr. That would cause a stir for sure. Taking a slow deep breath she looked to her friend with a slightly sad smile on her lips getting ready to tell Alina what was bothering her.

"Val is here... I... had hoped to be over her... I thought I was when I was at Aurora and Snowy... then I saw her when I was getting Cali here and it was just like back at Benden... The ache an longing. Why can't I just get over her? She will never see me or if she does it will only ever be as a fellow rider and MAYBE a friend. She does not swing my way... but..."

She shook her head. It was always hard for her to speak of this. It hurt truthfully this dull ache when ever she caught sight of the Green Rider. She knew it was stupid and that it would never work she was a sharding powerful Empathy for heavens sake. She knew the other woman's emotion and could tell with out even getting within three feet of her that she was only interested in males. All the old frustration tried to bubble up once more but she beat it back down taking slow breaths and a long sip of her wine trying to let go of the emotions. It was not healthy to be so obsessed yet she could not seem to get free of it.

Flinching at the pain in Silv's voice Alina reaches across the table and takes her hand.In a soft voice Alina tries to help her friend as much as she can with words and support.

"Silv look at me. please? Val has a hold on your heart a strong one and its not easy to get over something like that especially when val is clueless and has left you hanging for so long you are constantly thinking about what might have happened what could happen there was no closer there no yes maybe or outright no any of those you could deal with and get over but not knowing that is the hardest thing to get over."

Silvara looked over to her friend. Her blood red eye's holding her pain and even a little fear. She nodded at Alina's words knowing she was right but also knowing that it would just keep on like this. Val would never SEE her and even if by some major fluke the other woman actually did end up chatting and interacting with her the likely hood would be that it would be no more then a random encounter and soon forgotten by the lovely green rider. Silv did not see herself as being attractive tho she knew Alina would most likely argue with her on that point especially since she had finally stopped cutting her hair so short. She took a shivering breath and let it out slowly squeezing her friends hand.

"Your right it's just... hard. You know I don't like others noticing me. It makes me nervous to be noticed. Blarg, I nearly threw up when at the hatching feast when I did the walking of the tables from journey-woman to Master Healer. And that is another things that has me all in knots especially with Master Trigin starting to ask if I am ready to walk the tables in the Smith craft as well now that no one can say it's out of some kind of favoritism since I am now the oldest Senior Apprentice to ever be in the Smith Craft."

She shook her head not sure she was ready for yet another promotion still getting used to being a Master Healer and the only real teacher for those with Gifts. It would be years before those she teaches now would be ready to start teaching others. It was a lot of responsibility and a lot of notice being sent her way.

"Silv your absolutely stunning and you might as well get used to it because I will tell you that every day and people do notice you they just don't say anything out of difference to your rank and frighting capability's. as for walking the tables look at it this way if you do it and get it over with it won't be so bad and if you would like you can do it here so that you feel more comfortable and I will be waiting at the table for you you can look at my eyes only my eyes as you walk and then it wont be so bad."
Alina said grinning knowing her friend was going to choke over her saying she was stunning.

And choke Silvara did on Alina's words a dark blush spreading across her cheeks. She quickly bowed her head letting her lose hair cover her face some trying to get the blush under control.

"Now your just being a brat... but I think I would not mind having you help me with the walking of the tables. It's just so... strange. I never really thought I would get so high in the ranks but now that Thread is gone I have a lot more time to work on my crafts even if now I have an upsurge in students to train."

She was side stepping the words that others did notice her since that just made her feel a little panicky which would not be helpful right now. The thought of her friend being there while she walked the tables for her smith craft was highly appealing tho and so she focused on it slowly tilting her head back ignoring her hair for the time being. It was strange sometimes having it long after all the years as a rider when she kept it short so it would not be a danger to herself and her dragon.

Laughing at the choke and deep blush spreading across Silv's face Alina listens to what here friend says and also what she does not say.
"Silv you are more than welcome to have your table walk here we can plan it together it will be fun like old times when I used to steal you to help me out." Alina said with a chuckle. "Silv you are good at every thing you do and very determined its only strange to you that you are moving up the ranks so fast the rest of us know you and understand your drive. As for the students walking the tables now before you get to far into their instruction will be better for them so they can have continuous instruction and besides the party afterword may just give Val a chance to really see you." Alina finished with a sly smile and wink at her friend knowing she was going to be in for it when Sliv relearned how to breath.

Silvara had started to calm down and nodded at the words of when Alina would beg her to help her with something back at Benden. Her breathing almost normal till the words Party, Val and Val seeing her registered in her brain at which point she found herself choking again and blushing darkly. She shifted away from Alina standing up quickly after setting her kitten on her chair to walk around the room as a fit of nerves took her. She had not thought about the fact that if they had the table walk here that Val along with every one else would be there and knowing Alina, who would go out of her way to point Val in Silv's direction had her finding it hard to breath.

"Are you trying to kill me?"

The words came out strangled as she fought down a slight panic attack. At which point she felt Warrelith's mind focus on her and helping her breath through her fears muttering soft words in her head that it would all be fine and really she should not freek out about Val since it would be a GOOD thing for the green rider to finally notice her. She was not sure she agreed with him on that but he was good at sucking off excess emotional energy's from her and grounding them out which meant she was calming down faster then she would have otherwise.

At Silv's strangled words Alina gets up and goes to her friends side pulling her into a tight hug. "Silv just breath its not that bad every thing will be okay. How a strong amazing talented woman like you can be so fragile is just wrong. Silv I am here for you and will help you through every thing always!"

Silvara blinked as she was pulled into the tight hug and slowly started to calm down more between Alina and Warrelith she was able to breath again at a somewhat normal rate now. Slowly resting her head on the other woman's shoulder. The others words just made her blush more as she tried to shake her head no to deny the other's assessment that she was strong, amazing or talented. She would admit that she did have some skills even if she hid some of them from all but Warrelith and Alina but she still did not see herself as worthy of the ranks she was given. She knew most of it stemmed from her Gifts and the isolation they had caused her most of her life. She had to work hard just so she could eat the the dinning hall with every one else other wise she would still be locking herself in her chambers like she had when she was little. When she had been to raw and aware of those around her and when she would pick up the looks, thoughts, and feelings of others as they thought she was not normal among other things. She never really spoke about just what she had over heard during those years knowing that they would only make Alina mad or upset. It was the past after all and every one is only human.

"Thank you... for always being there for me... I never said that before... I meant to before I left for Aurora but I just... never got the chance. I am glad that we can be in the same place again. I have missed having my best friend."

Knowing Silv craved physical contact and rarely got it Alina let the woman cuddle into her knowing it was comfort not sex that Silv was looking for. At Silv's words Alina held her tighter blinking sudden tears from her eyes.

"Silv you know how much those words mean to me and the trust it shows you have in me means the world to me. Hearing them now means more to me than they would have in Benden. I missed you so much it hurt Silv mine I am glad to be able to hold and be held by my best friend once again."

Silvara slowly relaxed the rest of the way in Alina's hold snuggling into the other woman a little more. She had missed this a lot. Being able to just touch and hold onto some one with out having mind rending pain was a wonderful thing. She was glad that Alina understood this and had never gotten the wrong idea. She had at first feared that when they had first become friends. That Alina would see this desire for physical contact as her just trying to get some one into bed. Truthfully she did not really think she had those desires. Well not till she first saw and met Val anyways. But that was a different matter. She smiled at Alina's words glad that the other was happy as well.

"I am glad. I have missed this. I always feel safe with you..."

She could not get any other words out as her feelings were a tangled mess. She was happy to be with her friend again even if she was stressed out about her new position in life and Val being here and having students and what not but she would not trade this moment for all the peace in the world.

Alina sensing Silv was in a very unstable state of mind decided that leaving her alone for the night would not be a good thing. There was a desperate hunger for touch and comfort in the way Silv was cuddling into her and holding on for dear life to put it bluntly her old friend was a mess and needed the company of another person with her tonight. Thinking hard to come up with a way that would let her stay with Silv with out the other knowing that she was doing so for her benefit which she would reject on principal Alina comes up with a sleep over just like when they were kids. Laughing she holds Silv tighter.
"Silv I have an idea how about we have a sleep over like we used to when we were girls we can talk all night eat food and stay up way later than we have in a long time what do you think?"

Silvara leaned back a little to raise an eye brow at her friend before a little laugh escaped her. She could not help it. It had been a long time since they had had their last sleep over and the thought of just being with her friend and maybe playing some silly game and talking and or being curled up with a book sounded wonderful to her. She leaned back into her friend giving her a tight squeeze before slowly letting her go.

"It sounds like fun. So do we raid the kitchen first or gather our art supply's first?"

That was another thing they liked to do was draw and talk about art. Alina was the only person who knew about Silvara's pentiont for drawing and such as she would never show her collection of sketch books to any one else. Alina only really knew cause she had found one of the sketch books and realized who the other person pestering the paper makers all the time was.

Alina smiles up at her friend happy that her plan to stay with Silv for the night had worked.

"art supply's first silv then food I have some goodies stashed away for special occasions like this. Warrelith may have to help us carry some stuff would he mind? should we stay in your weyr or should we head out some where we cant easily be reached like the southern continent? It's been ages since I have been away from the academy."

Silvara laughed slightly and tilted her head back thinking. Nibbling on her lip as she thought about the other's words.

"Warrelith won't mind at all... as for staying or going... I say go but can we go to the cove?"

The Cove was silvara's little hide away where she went when ever there was going to be a Riseing in or near the location she was living at. It was in many ways a small weyr/hold she had made for herself in the side of a cliff over looking the western ocean. Alina was the only person besides Warrelith that knew about it since she did not really want other's going their for private trysts. It was nice with it's own lagoon and a water fall near by that provided fresh water. She had maintained it with care as her privet sanctuary. Also as her back up plan if she came to the conclusion that she just could not live around people any more. It would be away from here but not as far off as the southern continent which was in it's rainy season.

"I would love to go to the cove with you Silv lets go get our art supplies and the food and leave a note for H'lee as to where we are going so that he does not panic and then we can head out.

As Alina finishes talking she loops her arm through Silvs and they walk out into the grounds smiling arm in arm.

Silvara laughed and nodded. It was normal for them to go gather everything from the rest of the Weyr or in this case academy before returning to their own chambers to grab what personal items like clothes they wanted to take with them for these trips. She just hoped H'lee would not mind her stealing his love interest for the night. She could not help the smile that crossed her face as they walked along arm in arm. Both the happy expression and the physical contact most likely raising more then a few eye brows among the other folk of the academy since Silv tended to be rather restrained and almost impossible to touch.

"Hopefully H'lee won't worry to much about my absconding with you for the night."
