Before the first day of lesson three, Alina insisted that someone put a world map, with the current borders, up on the wall in the Candidate classroom. They also got the slate mounted on the wall finally. Before they started in on discussing the Holds, however, she administered a quiz on the previous day's content:
After the quiz, Master Harper Timiny stepped up to the map. "Now, most of you come from Holds or Halls, so you should each be able to name one unique good or service that Holds or Halls produce. Some of you are from the Weyr, so you should definitely be able to name one unique good or service the Weyr provides. Don't be afraid to be creative and think outside the box." Then he started calling names, one at a time, expecting each person to be able to name one good or service from either Hold, Hall, or Weyr.
- You're in charge of meet-and-greet in the hours leading up to Hatching. How do you tell who is an Apprentice and how do you address them?
- A Journeyman and a Wingsecond from another Weyr arrive on foot. How do you tell them apart?
- A distinguished-looking couple come up in their Gather finery. On her shoulder, the woman wears a silver-braided double-looped shoulder knot with no tail, and the two dominant colors are white and lavender. What is her rank?
- A man approaches with a single-looped shoulder knot with a tail; a brown thread is woven within the two dominant colors. What rank does he hold?

Name one thing that the Holds, Halls, or Weyrs produce. Your answers should be unique from all the other Candidates' answers.
The lesson will continue after each person lists an item.
